  2016 Calendar: Give us more money!

  just got a peak at the 2016 calendar and i cannot tell you how much it bothered me.

  it's all about constructing new kh and assembly halls, which is completely ironic given that the construction stopped almost worldwide.obviously this is proof that the borg is shifting from a magazine publisher to a real estate conglomerate, no wonder they're getting rid of 12 issues of magazines all together.. now, while the pdf of this is not up on the site yet, i will post confirmation as soon as it becomes available.

  weather that is by legitimate means or other wise..

  You know, I heard from some JWs attending the K-hall in another part of the city and were having the CO's visit, that the Society is getting geared up for a massive Kingdom Hall and assembly hall construction next year. They told the publishers; "GET READY"

  if jw`s come knocking at your door, do you open it & engage in conversation, tell them to sod off, or just not answer the door?.

  my husband`s has asked me not to answer the door to them if he isn't here?

  he hate`s the fact that they make a point of calling when they know he will be at work.

  if it is true that they are actually putting down 100g network, i can tell you first hand that is effing expensive.

  I've seen plenty of comments from that Thomas Rook Jr. He seems to be on the brink of throwing the towel. He criticizes the org heavily but still feels is Jehovahs Org.

  What’s the deal with all the Smart-Educated JWs?

  we talk a lot about most jws being uneducated, uninformed, and that they lack critical thinking skills, but in my area there is a lot of jws that went to the university, medical school, law school, and came back to the organization.

  in my circuit, that i know of, we had two electrical engineers, one computer engineer with a ph.d. eight teachers with a bachelors degree and three of those with a masters in education.

  we had two medical doctors, one was a pediatrician who closed his business about 3 years ago and went to bethel.

  And, one's having completed some kind of schooling does not necessarily mean he's smart, and that applies to advanced degrees, too. Then, there are different kinds of smarts.

  I've found that being successful in a career or business is mostly being at the right place, at the right time, and knowing the right people and "Learning" the right skills. (That make come after the fact)

  Some of these JW with degrees are making 50-60k a year, the engineers are making 70k-80k a year. Then some who dropped out of high school and started picking up trash and cutting grass for a living now have business that make them over a million a year. The successful business owners tell me, "Jump on opportunities, always keep learning everything you can and be good at what you do. And build a network of friends with different skills that can bail you out of trouble if you get yourself in a jam.

  Since they are JWs, this is their favorite scripture they use all the time;

  (Proverbs 22:29) . . .Have you beheld a man skillful in his work? Before kings is where he will station himself; he will not station himself before commonplace men.

  Well John, I can't explain it. Why would such highly educated people stay in a cult that is constantly dumbing down their educational content.

  The psychology of such a thing is difficult to understand

  I guess we need a little more time to see how it all transpires in the next couple of years. Some of these changes in the WT are just eye popping. It may be that most of these educated people are in the process of waking up. And as you know, the process takes time. The young kids going to school may also be waking up and perhaps they are trying to figuring out how they are going to fade. So we will see.

  its been a little over 2 years since i left the watchtower.

  in that time the magazines have been cut, the birth of jwtv, jw-org.

  carts for preaching, removed district overseers, cut assemblies, demand all the money from the congregations, stop construction and layoff bethelites, change the format of the tmschool .

  The end of the age or the end times what did the Bible writers mean?

  there are plenty of scriptures pointing to the idea that the end was near according to the scriptures way back then.

  example at act chapter 2 peter states were in the last days, at 1john chapter 2 in the last hour.

  jesus stated he would be back before some of that generation died and of course the famous quote 'this generation'.

  The writers were referring to their audience, but somehow, it seems every freaking generation from then on to now, wants to apply it to their particular time.

  There should be and "End" to people applying the Biblical End Times to themselves.

  There were two teachers (married couple) who had master's degrees in education, but I swear that neither of them should have been let out of the third grade (I'm not exaggerating).
